I am a Japanese American, born and raised in New York, and I am almost done with college. Now I have traveled to Europe, Russia, Brazil, India, and South Africa. I loved all of those places. After I am done with college, me and my two friends (A White American and an South Asian Indian American) are going to travel around a bit and we have a few months to decide on the countries. A friend of mines has said Turkey is beautiful but I have heard that in most Middle Eastern (or well you can count Turkey as European depending on what part) countries, the locals are very hostile towards any minority groups (especially Black and Indian people).

Can some shed some insight into this?

What other countries are you and your friends looking at?
You already traveled East of India?

I stay out of any country where there is anything that even vaguely resembles a war going on.

Turkey is indeed beautiful and very interesting. I found the people neither friendly nor unfriendly.we were treated politely and with courtesy. I am south Asian.
ETA we travelled for three weeks in the country, by car, bus, and air.
