Oh my... a lot of percussions. Sounds so very...imperial.

This one more piece from those times (1912) was suggested by some as a new anthem for Russia in the 90ies, since it was one of the most recognizable and popular music/song there through the 20ieth century.

Farewell of Slavianka - YouTube

(But it has been declined, and the Soviet anthem ( with new words) has been kept.)

The French is the only listenable one. All others (I know) are just wannabe.

In fact, every time I listen it, it thrills me, is like I see in front of my eyes the events of the Revolution.

Russian is my favorite followed by the American one and French, about a tie for me. The one I really don't like is Mexico's.

South Africa has a beautiful national anthem which includes the five most widely spoken national languages (Xhosa, Zulu, Sesotho, Afrikaans and English):

Personally, I love O Canada.....I guess I'm Bias. lol

Also, as much as I'm not her fan, I sure do like it when Celine Dion sings it. And it also sounds better in French.

Now, I enjoy the Star Spangled Banner, but if were up to me, it would be America The Beautiful.

Why? Because I believe it speaks more of what America really represents (not it's government), especially in the whole poem, not about something (as important as it was), that happened in the past. War no less.

This is the America I know. It's more.....I don't know; Canadian

O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
America! America!
May God thy gold refine
Till all success be nobleness,
And ev'ry gain divine.
O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears.
America! America!
God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea.

The poem is really great:

O beautiful for halcyon skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the enameled plain!
America! America!
God shed His grace on thee,
Till souls wax fair as earth and air
And music-hearted sea!
O beautiful for pilgrim feet
Whose stern, impassioned stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America!
God shed His grace on thee
Till paths be wrought
through wilds of thought
By pilgrim foot and knee!
O beautiful for glory-tale
Of liberating strife,
When once or twice, for man's avail,
Men lavished precious life!
America! America!
God shed His grace on thee
Till selfish gain no longer stain,
The banner of the free!
O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America!
God shed His grace on thee
Till nobler men keep once again
Thy whiter jubilee!
