How anyone who can put more substance in HDI rankings over IHDI rankings is beyond me.

List of countries by inequality-adjusted HDI - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

am I missing something?

HDI rankings don't take into account inequality - IHDI rankings do... the IHDI is basically an enhanced and improved version of HDI - which is why I provided the link for you. When I asked you if i'm missing something - it was an invitation for you to read through the link on IHDI and get your opinion on which is superior.

HDI and IHDI are both written by the UNDP

Yes, these are SOME facts. The crap you posted before it last time was nonsense and didn't belong.

Largest developed country...check

A lot of our movies and TV shows...well as pointed out earlier, they are shown generally on stations that receive low viewership, just as the many foreign TV shows that are shown in the US are shown in obscurity.

Subway and McDonald's all over the world...Check BUT, so are companies from other nations; Nikon, Canon and Sony have operations in every country they're products are sold. So does Sennheiser. Also, once again, things we think are American were borrowed. America's got talent is the USA version of Britain's got talent. The Voice originated in The Netherlands.

We usually do OK during the summer Olympics...check, but other countries generally do better during the winter Olympics so what's your point here?

These are also some fact for ya

yes and would like to add Ikea, Samsung, Toyota, Phillips, Nokia, Volkswagen, Westfield, BP and Shell. In addition the American owned car companies has big trouble competing against foreign owned car company in America itself and that has been that way for a very long time. In addition the fastest growing companies companies the world, the first 5 on the list are not American origin.Global 500 - Top Companies: Fastest Growing Revenues - Fortune

I forgot about Westfield. they own most of the "all American" shopping malls these days.

Don't get me wrong, what I want is for people, American or not, to represent the country accurately. Not long ago, I got on someone's case for attempting to make Americans look stupid. However, on the same token, I want Americans to show the real side of what we truly are which isn't a bunch of arrogant yahoos. We're better than that.

Westfield started by 2 men originally from War torn Europe long ago, and they migrated to Australia, then, started his business there, and the rest is history. Yes they could have achieved the same success if they moved to America instead.
