We just make up for population in land mass. Otherwise, in almost all aspects, we are exactly the same.

How about France and United Kingdom? Despite the language barrier, both countries are unitary constitutional republics with a similar population size (65 mil), economy (2 tril), healthcare system (universal), and each has an alpha world city that are among the highest ranked in several positive categories (London and Paris). These two citiea are linked by the eurostar. Both have a language that's widely used by other nation's. both have strong cultural ties in Africa, North America, and the Pacific and Atlantic oceans.

Whatever. I don't like the states and would not blend in culturally over there. I see them as a foreign, enemy country of Canada whom I would never want to be associated with. I've said this before and I'll say this again, the USA and Canada are no more similar than Germany and Austria. If you're going to say we're "Twin countries" you should say Germany and Austria as well. This whole "twin countries" idea is silly in the first place, though. Would you say a city with 1 million people and a city with 100 thousand people are twin cities just because they're beside each other?

Since when is the UK a republic?
