National Park - Wikipedia
What country has the best selection of national parks (in your opinion)

My favorite national park = Guilin and Lijiang River National Park in China

I won't vote yet because i can't decide between Australia, China, United States, Brazil, Canada and India.
All large countries with diverse and beautiful landscapes.

Hmmm... I'm trying to think of another country whose national parks encompass scorching deserts, gigantic marine glaciers, lush rainforests (both tropical and temperate), volcanoes (snow-capped and otherwise, including one with a lake in its caldera), the world's tallest trees, the world's oldest trees, rivers of subtropical grass, huge expanses of tundra, the tallest mountain on its continent, the lowest point on its continent, sharp jagged mountains, soft rounded mountains, natural rock arches, and vast canyons.

I can't think of any off the top of my head. So the U.S. it is.

I say Canada. They have second largest land mass, and the least amount of people. Meaning they have lots of big wide open parks.

Canada's a bit lacking in the tropical department, though. Nor does it have any real deserts to speak of.

British Columbia.

Canada is a good pick, Banff is arguably the best national park in the continent.

Yes, Banff is gorgeous. But then so are Glacier, Glacier Bay, Kenai Fjords, Olympic, Mt. Rainier, Crater Lake, Yosemite, Rocky Mountain, and Wrangell-St. Elias National Parks.

And there is nothing in Canada that comes close to Death Valley, Joshua Tree, or Organ Pipe. To say nothing of the Grand Canyon or the Everglades.

The United States has such a large variety of biomes and climates which create a vast complex pick of great national parks that its a obvious winner for me. I love the giant redwoods of the PNW and also the colourful autumn foliage of the NE. I think the next option should be virtually any sub Saharan African Country its the only region of the world with such a large density of megafaunas which is something I love.

Another country that springs to mind is Russia, the vast primeval boreal and taiga forests are like a throw back to times gone by and I love the Siberian tiger sad that all these natural wonders are all endangered.
