They are quite similar as the biggest income comes from mining. In addition these areas are not as popular with tourists compared to other regions in those countries. Which state would you rather visit?

Plus what is the Criteria for these states:

Texas would be a lot more similar to New South Wales. Texas is is a little bit smaller, but has four times the population density. In fact, Texas has more people than the whole of Australia, and if in Australia, would be one of the tiny states.

Texas wins almost very category...also I'm sure a lot more people would be commenting if those pictures at the top were taken down, every time I click on this thread, it screws up my computer.
