Pretty much everyone I am descended from was already in Canada in the early 1600s. With only one exception - late 1800s.

The last I know of for sure is gggrandparents from Ireland in 1851.

My parental family came from kirkcudbrightshire in 1600s.

Not really immigrants but anyway lol.this would be ggggggg grandparents.

So does the Roman Catholic Church. At least in my part of the world it does.

I also have seen records of my ancestors going back as early as the 1300s.
