I was pretty much going with the general consensus. A good number of people don't like four seasonal climates (NYC) and cool oceanic climates (London) with little sunshine. NOT saying they prefer the other side of the spectrum (heat), and I also never spoke in a biased manner; I just thought that the average human would like temperatures in the 'comfortable' range, in which Sydney comes closer out of the bunch.

Okay, fair enough about their population, but Sydney is still the least populated of these three by FAR. In my opinion, that's a big factor itself.

Here's a few videos to give you a feel for the city.

The city has it's share of problems. Cost of living as high as New York and London, and congestion issues as bad as Los Angeles. Measured by percent of journey times spent bumper to bumper. But, you get a stunning city with beautiful natural areas, vibrant streets and gritty urban areas.
I wouldn't call Sydney the Paris of the New World, that would suggest it's derivative of somewhere else when there's nowhere else like it.

Sydney is consistently rated as one of the best cities to live in and visit, and outside of the US it's legendary for it's sheer beauty - mostly the weather, the beaches, the natural setting and anything goes culture. It's also very exclusive.

SYDNEY IS NOT ABOUT POWER OR FAME OR MONEY. It's all about liveability. And freedom. And fun. Alot of that.

The intricate, hugely indentured coastline throughout the city makes for a large amount of boating, water, villas, hidden beaches and sport.

Throw in famously beautiful inhabitants, high culture, high fashion and food, cosmopolitanism, nightlife and carnivals/ events to rival Rio and it's quite a heady mix. Also a good dose of the frankly bizarre:

In short Sydney can give someone a fantastic day ,and easy access to beauty - for free, just by walking to the end of the road and playing with the sea, nature and beaches. Muchg more interactive than a city park, and far more easily accessed over there. Despite the city now become very exclusive just like all the other Alpha cities, it's still makes for a great class leveller.

Sydney is beautiful, peaceful, safe, fun, and has great weather... What's not to like?

And I say this as someone who prefers SF and LA to NYC. it's a great city, for sure.
