I'll drink it anywhere in the U.S. if it tastes good.
Same with most of Europe. In Norway, I guzzle it like it is going out of style. No reason to drink bottled water there unless you really want the carbonated stuff.
I spent a month in Tanzania way back in the 80s. We traveled day to day, camping out at night, and filled a water tank on our truck from local village wells wherever we found ourselves. Except for the fact that grit and dust got into the water, It was fine and didn't bother me one bit.
I've drank the tap water in most of the countries we visited, think we drank bottled in Cyprus though and bottled in Russia as the water was brown and smelt horrid.
And I drink bottled water when I visit my parents in the UK, not that the water is bad but it just tastes really nasty, even tea tastes nasty made with their water.
