The year is 2048. A city is gearing up for the arrival of athletes and visitors from around the world. This city will be hosting the Olympic Games for the first time in its history. Prior to this, it emerged victorious from the final round of selection that saw 3 other candidate cities in the running.

If the final decision rests solely on you, which city would you award the Games to? For the purpose of this hypothetical scenario, you will need to imagine the following attributes of each candidate city by the year 2048:

1) Economic performance
2) Security
3) Overall sports vibe
4) Ability to pull off a major event

Remember, we're projecting 35 years into the future, so take that into consideration. Let the Games begin!

My vote goes to Auckland has it has the novelty factor of hosting another edition of the Games in the Oceania region (Australia having done it twice and other countries in the neighbourhood are way too small to support something of this scale, eg: Samoa, Tonga, etc)

How can we predict 35 years into the future I would be 67 years old then and lots of stuff can happen in 35 years that could effect which country is best to host it and lets try to get to the end of this decade of 2010-2020 since the venues are either are picked or on a shortlist to be picked.

we will see how they go and if they go over budget or can get the venues built on time and have them ready to go for the incoming amount of people from around the world to attend the games.
