Finns are persistent bargain-hunters, and stores have often things like salmon, coffee and beer at special discounts just to attract people to their mall. (But also for example pizza/kebab joints have sometimes very reasonable offers.)
You're also supposed to have serial tickets to everything, so for example a 10-time pass for the swimming pools costs 40€, and in public transport you might save 50% having a monthly card. And also like 9 pizzas or haircuts and the 10th for free etc.
The big range in cinemas is because different days and time of the day have different prices. For example it's 7€ at Tuesday 15:00, while 16€ on Saturday at 22:00.

List prices are sometimes very hard to define in Finland, as for example fish, meat, coffee, some vegetables, coke, beer and so on may swing up to 50% from week to week. I would never pay 18€ for a kg of salmon. If I can't find a single discount offer, I'll wait. Maybe it's only 11€ next week.
