I told you. I think I have a West Coast accent not out of place in the California central coast and parts of the California central valley a bit different then Northern California and Southern California that's just my perception I typically don't listen to myself as it feels odd to hear my voice.
I read a poem for y'all! Or part of it, 'cause I cut half of it out.
And I gotta say I'm a woman of many talents, but reading poetry is not one of them.
Also keep in mind that I learnt English mostly by myself so I haven't learnt how to properly pronunciate stuff, so I'll leave a transcription. Here's the poem.
It's Poe. Secundary effects of listening to me reading Poe may include:
·Sudden paleness, British level. #NotAllBrits
·Black lips.
·A corset will wrap itself around your waist, regardless of gender.
Spoiler
Be still.
For the night, tho' clear, shall frown,
And the stars shall look not down,
From their high thrones in the Heaven, (I said heavens because I like to defy the authorities. **** you Poe.)
With light like Hope to mortals given,
But their red orbs, without beam,
To thy weariness shall seem
As a burning and a fever
Which would cling to thee for ever:
Now are thoughts thou shalt not banish,
Now are visions ne'er to vanish,
From thy spirit shall they pass
No more, like dew-drop from the grass:
The breeze, the breath of God, is still,
And the mist upon the hill
Shadowy, shadowy, yet unbroken,
Is a symbol and a token,
How it hangs upon the trees,
A mystery of mysteries!
P.S.: Goear has autoplay and may or may not sing you the song of its people afterwards. Be warned.
