The city was packed, lots of free live entertainment, also events in bars and clubs. It went off went the clock struck 12 after the countdown. But now it's 2014, nothing really different, it's not like our lives will change greatly just because the last digit of the date is different.

Well, I'm doing absolutely nothing other than sitting by the fire with my two dogs, reading a good book and drinking a chai latte!

I am visiting an impressive cafe bar, a phenomenal restaurant, and then an entertaining hookah lounge nightclub. A cafe bar, restaurant, and a hookah lounge nightclub today on New Years eve.

And then I am going to a rooftop on a building party.

I am wondering if I should stay outside all night into 5am-7am, or if I should get back 1am-2am.

I am 2,500 miles away from my current home right now and a 20 days travel vacation.

Happy New Years eve to everyone.

How crowded was your city's downtown? Perth was pretty packed, well mostly Northbridge, crowds filling up the streets, which were closed to traffic.
