I dont think you are allowed to live there. It officially does not belong to anyone and it would create an incident if one country tried to settle it.

That would be very cool to build a new civilization in Antartica.

People in the past could not afford to live in Antartica due to being too extremely cold. But at present, I believe we have the technology to fight that very very extreme cold. But then again, it would be very expensive. So I imagine cost of living in Antartica would be very expensive, and who wants to live in that kind of place.

If humans are not able to settle long terms in Antarcica (though there are argentinian and chilean settlements in the Antarctic Peninsula) I wonder how we could settle Planets and Exoplanets.
Talk of skewed thinking.

People live in Antartica!

In the next century, with 15 bn. inhabitants on Earth and little available room left, it seems unavoidable that Antarcica will be inhabited by Man - much easier than trying to colonize Planets X lightyears from here!
