Which one do you prefer and why?

They are just a few dozen kilometres apart but yet they are very different cities.

That is like asking the difference between NYC and Washington, D.C.

The same as Postman.

Jerusalem is nice for vacation or sightseeing, historical places and take photos, but I would live in Tel Aviv as it is more like a "big city." But I haven't gone so it is my impression by documentaries pics and information.

Tel Aviv is a like a mini-Manhattan by the sea. So for a tourist or a person who interested in culture on a regular basis, Tel Aviv is the place to be.

Jerusalem is a spiritual center. So if one is more interested in the spiritual side of life and history, then Jerusalem is the place to be.

What culture does Tel Aviv have? Seems like a very modern city. I don't think most tourists from around the world will likely spend much time in Tel Aviv. Let's face it, most tourists who come to Israel tend to be pilgrims who want to see Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Galilee, etc.

They are very different indeed. Jerusalem feels "old"' and historic, while Tel Aviv is rather modern and vibrant.

In Tel Aviv there are Israeli National Theater Habima, the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra, the Israeli Opera (located at Tel Aviv Performing Arts Center), the well known Tel Aviv Municipal Kameri Theater and the Israel Ballet Company (which is based in Tel Aviv).

Also the well worth a visit is the Diaspora Museum (located on the campus of Tel Aviv University) and if one likes modern art the Tel Aviv Museum of Art is another noteworthy place of culture.

Definitely agree.

I spent very little time in Tel Aviv. Jerusalem is where the cultural party's at.
