There used to be overnight ferries from Portland and Bar Harbor, Maine to Nova Scotia, in Canada, but they were discontinued a few years ago.
There are plans for a ferry between Tampa Florida and Cancun Mexico, which has been substantially delayed, but as of two months ago, the promoters still expect to be sailing by mid-2014.
From NYC there are trains that you can take your car on to go to Florida. Also I would assume that there are sleepers that go across the USA, but I don't know if any cross the border into Canada from the NYC area.
The "Adirondack" and "Maple Leaf" trains do, but they're not sleepers.
Australia will get a sleeper service to New Zealand after the new bridge is finished
More seriously Korea has ferry services to china, japan and Russia, also an unused train line to Pyongyang.
New Zealand has a ferry between it's two main islands which generally takes about 3 hours. You forget just how far even the two islands in New Zealand are from each other. There is also a sleeper service on the New Zealand Wellington - Picton Service.
In terms of the UK, the fastest ferry from Britain to France is about 50 minutes, although the Hovercraft used to be 45 minutes until it was replaced by new faster ferries. There is still a Hovercraft service in the UK though which runs from Portsmouth to the Isle of Wight. Whilst in terms of the Channel Tunnel it takes trains less than 20 minutes to pass through the tunnel itself, and you can of course put your car, caravan, truck or other vehicle on the Eurostar train just as you can a Ferry.
I took the Coast Starlight last summer from L.A. to San Jose and back. It took all day in each direction. The train does have sleeper cars, but I just had a regular seat. This train also has a viewing car (with larger windows and in lounge style which is separate from the dining car) so that one can see the beautiful California scenery which is constantly changing.
Via Rail's former "Atlantic" service crossed Maine, and thus two borders, on its way from Montreal to Saint John, NB.
I assume that one of these trains is the one goes to Niagara Falls and continues up to Toronto. I took a train from NYC to Niagara Falls and back with friends many years ago for a long summer weekend to visit the Falls. As far as I remember there were no sleeper cars on that train.

It;s said to be one of the greatest and most beautiful train journeys in the world and that area of America is extremely beautiful. Would love to travel on the Coast Starlight.
