Why are so many of the homes that are advertised for half a million dollars look like they were photographed using a disposable camera by someone in a hurry???

That's probably due to the old law of "supply and demand" (which is just a nicer way of saying that some places are cheap 'cuz nobody else wants to live there)!

Only here in the U.S. if someplace gets expensive and they can't afford it anymore (like say California), "some folks" will try to blame it on "politics"…. which is kinda like saying, "everyone could afford to own 'waterfront', if it weren't for (insert political party here)!"

Certainly no one (with the exception of me) wants to live in Mänttä so no wonder the houses are cheap

That works out to about $447K here in Canada.

In Windsor, Ontario (and I'm only picking a few of the ones I like, because I hate McMansions)

$459,900 (close enough lol)

$399,900, on the Detroit River

$324,900

$329,900 in old Walkerville

Wouldn't mind that Helsinki place if I had a spare 6 million lying around. Think I'll pass on the bargains in Estonia though...
