Well, officially it was a draw, but since the US didn't achieve its war aims, was being blockaded by the Royal Navy and was on the verge of bankruptcy, the above statement is arguably true.
Someone still dreams of the british empire. UK may not even rank in the top 10 military force in the world today.
Every so often throughout history people have looked upon the British as a soft touch (King Philip of Spain, Napoleon, Hitler, Galtiere etc) and try their luck, they usually end up with their tails between their legs though! As it is one of only a handful of nuclear powers Britain still has the potential to bomb the **** out of any potential 'enemies' if it came to it!

umm the US has never "destroyed Britain" ever.
The US won their revolutionary war with a coalition of troops from other European countries, specifically France. Otherwise, there would have been no shot of them

Personally, I do not give anything for granted, do not ever underestimate the enemy, therefore.. I would have a lot of attention to the British.... they have proven many times to be smart and clever
intelligence vs the "bruta" force ....win, at last this is just an opinion
