This really makes me want to visit an area whether it be somewhere in Europe or South America, rent a car and drive through all the little back roads and country side going from city to city. This is where my nerd side comes out, I love it haha.
I used Street View to plan my road trip from California to Florida. It was great for deciding which small highway looked more interesting. I wish Street View was available when I went to Europe. I would love to go back and plan a cool road trip through major cities and tiny towns.
I do too.
I was exploring Sotchi during the Olympics, also some other cities in Russia and republics. Checked several places in China, N. Korea, India, and other places in Asia. Extremely interesting!
You creepy so and so hope you haven't checked out my neighbourhood.
What's creepy about that? We don't know the addresses, or parts of the towns where other posters live. No one is stalking. If someone states how beautiful is the city , or post some vacation pix, or talks about new developments - I do sometimes check it on the Google.
So... where is YOUR neighborhood again???
I think it's interesting to see the countries that are on GSV vs. the ones that aren't. For example: Croatia is, but Slovenia isn't. Botswana is, but Namibia isn't. The Baltic states are completely covered but Germany only has a few cities. Etc.
Edit: apparently Slovenia now IS covered. It's been a while since I checked....

It interesting to me too. I know there was privacy concerns in some places, but more each year seem to letting their guard down, which is good imo.
Do you have a favorite north American city? I am on streetview, btw.
I like going around San Francisco, Vancouver, Boston, NYC, Chicago.
