Anyone else ever find themselves using Google Street View in random places around the world? (neighborhoods, train)

I love doing this. There is a spot in Lusaka I believe where I zoom in and ask my friends where they think it is. They always guess cities in the US and then they are shocked when I tell them that it is in Zambia.

I'm not stalking anyone, but if someone says he's from... Montréal maybe, I check out some places there. I'm not trying to pinpoint anyone's house or anything like that.

I do the same. And I don't consider it stalking at all. I mean, we have no idea where anyone lives precisely on here anyway.

There's nothing wrong with curiosity. It's actually quite normal for intelligent people to be curious!

Unless someone is posting their full address, I don't see what is so creepy about what he's doing. Imagine all those people that say they live in New York City, do you really think someone will be able to spot the exact building where they live? They might be looking at it in Street View and not know it.
