I'm not really into politics but what is going on right now?
Is Russia trying to re-unite the Soviet Union?

It seems so. But no one wants a new slaughter. So these "maidan-guys" will not have any luck, I hope.

No, it's not true. We don't want lose our independence.
Speaking of Russia, Russia just wants to protect itself, nothing more, nothing less.

to be honest, I'd prefer that we manipulate the overthrow of an A-List country instead of this one

So now it begins. Opposition is now preparing for the meeting. Police is ready, so we are who don't want a new coup.

Isn't that what an opposition is supposed to do? You know, meeting and discussing how to make a difference, how to improve things?

They are going to overthrow lawfully elected president. Everyone knows it. All leaders of the opposition are corrupt and bandits, even their children, one of them - Tashiev - tried to overthrow president last year, was convicted and then was released , and his son was caught when he was stealing car's wheels etc

If the USA is entitled to its own sphere of influence (the entire North America for instance), then Russia should be entitled to its former Soviet sphere of influence! So if this is true (which I hope is not), then the USA should back off Kyrgyzstan! I HATE double standards!

I would prefer the USA engineer the overthrow the current Saudi regime! Because if they do, then their pronouncements regarding "promoting democracy" and "respecting human rights" may be more believable!
