Nope.. I can't even sleep on my bed... Insomnia problem
I guess that answers the question.
Well if you don't mind being awake for nearly 30 hours...for me I hate the feeling of being really sleepy but not being able to sleep properly because I'm sitting up. I would bring along a headrest, if one is not provided, helps a lot, but I still find it uncomfortable. It's like when you start nodding off you just get jolted away, not to mention the sore neck...
I think Sydney is far more than 20 hours from here. Like 6 hours more.
some people include time spent in transit in airports which is absurd , by that reckoning , i could spend two days going from dublin to london were i to stop in birmingham for forty seven hours
flight time from london to sydney is twenty hours , ive done it , eleven hours to bangkok and a further nine to sydney

Yup during the LHR-LAX flight we went over Greenland, Baffin Island and the NW shores of Hudson Bay. Much further south on the return flight, we flew over southern Ontario and Quebec.
11 hours isn't that bad as long as there are films and music available. Even bad movies are worth watching on a long haul flight lol. Still shorter than the 14-hour Paris-Rome train ride.
I find long train/bus/coach/car journeys a lot more tolerable. I like watching the scenery go by, and you have a real sense of making progress. In a plane you're like in a tube, you might be able to get some idea of what time it is by the sun (although flying to the US we were following the sun/dawn for much of the time). I like being grounded, so to speak.
I've always been on widebodys on my transatlantic flights, but didn't move much. I didn't bother moving from my seat on the LAX-LHR flight.
Agreed about transoceanic flights. I don't like them and freak out at every turbulence.
Its all 757s from here. They even fly a 757 the whole way to Charlotte! Its terrible!
I don't mind turbulence but i'm really dreading going to America as i'll keep thinking about that plane that crashed a few weeks ago and jumpy every time we get a bump..

But I don't live in England. Its like 25 hours from here.

Haven't really been on a long sea journey, I used to get sea sick on ferries and small boats, not so much now, unless it's really choppy. I'd like to go on a cruise one day though, I doubt that'll be much of a problem. I'd love to do the 28-day Sydney to Vancouver Pacific cruise one day.
