Yeah. As much as you want to measure Social media out there, there's a lot of noise and I'm not talking about a random girl from NC tweeting about BS. I'm talking about bots pretty much spamming Twitter. This happens when things are trending too - bots will explode on it. I.e. if "Atlanta" is trending, then they'll put Atlanta in the tweet and then send out like 500 tweets about some unrelated website.

Yep, being Ted Turner's town sure has given Atlanta (more than) its fair share of the spotlight.

Facebook is the top social network in all of these countries except for China and Russia (surprise!). In June 2012, China was the only country not to have Facebook.

World Map of Social Networks | Vincos Blog

Belgium, Brazil, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Portugal, Russia, and Spain didn't have Twitter at all. In Australia, Canada, Finland, and Norway, LinkedIn was actually more popular than Twitter, which is saying a lot.

Sheesh-so much LA hate in the comments. I guess that would go for most any city chosen as #1 though.

Atlanta still has CNN which is pretty big in itself. Coca Cola also. I guess you can add the Olympics also.

CNN might be responsible for a lot of tweeting since it's been pop news for at least the past decade or so.

I googled Housewives in England and it does air in Europe LOL.

Real Housewives of Atlanta TV show, UK air date, UK TV premiere date

I also know it comes on Slice(Canadian channel). I guess it is more global than most people think.

Also, so many more people recognize the Atlanta skyline since The Walking Dead started airing. If you post a picture of the Atlanta skyline on reddit 'cityporn' subreddit, comments like "Where are the walkers" come up.
