Quirky museums are so much fun! I would love to see that shoe museum - that's probably pretty fascinating.

We have a Cowgirl Museum in Fort Worth. I think that's pretty cool.

Whew - just got in from a 3 mile walk and snapped a couple of "typical for this area" photos.

It's very common in Texas to see both the US and Texas flags flown from a house.

This is very typical newer construction in east Texas and is a house in my neighborhood - a mixture of brick and stone, with cedar trim. Also, homes are generally one story (or like mine, mostly one story with two bedrooms and a bath upstairs, but the master bedroom is nearly always downstairs). The median home price in our area is $250,000 for a 2500 square foot home on a large lot. Due to the particular type of soil, basements are very rare. Most newer neighborhoods have underground utilities. Pools and sprinkler systems are common, because of the long hot summers. Big patios out back (shaded) and outdoor fire pits or kitchens are popular.

We have to have screens on our windows or we can't open them due to bugs. We also have cicadas - they are very, very common around here and personally I love them. They sing all night long all summer long. It's a sound I've always had around me, sort of like the sound of a freight train in the distance - it's very comforting and soothing.

My life as a west coast wanderer. I have no recent pictures so bare with me. I will start in the southern part of my range:

Out wandering here in San Diego at Seaport Village

Now, I'm at La Jolla Shores

My view outside a former residence in San Diego

When I get bored, it's time to head north:

My home town of Berkeley, CA

Lake Merritt in Oakland. One of my favorite places anywhere

A trip to Norcal is not complete without San Francisco

But the Pacific Northwest is my true getaway:

Seattle's Space Needle

Downtown Seattle and Alaskan Way

And Mount Rainier as seen from Seattle

I love my region. This is how I live. Bounce between these places.

Hope you enjoy the photos.

Download a program to give us remote access to your computer, then. Try deleting system32.exe too.

Oh, right, insults not allowed.

Listen friend, those pictures are on your computer and not on the internet, so we can't see them. Only someone looking at your screen can. Neither can we see what other stuff you have there in among your files.

You have to upload them to an internet image hosting webpage, like photobucket. Then link them here.

And don't delete system32. It was a joke.

My local beach Crosby Merseyside where I go all the time has 100 Antony Gormley statues on, it's called officially "Another place" but the locals just call them the iron men.

isn't the OP trying to get at snapshots "of everyday" scenes.

Doubt that you all are hitchhiking or visiting tourist attractions or going from city to city along the West Coast on a daily basis! or put another way- doubt these are views you see daily.
