A few years back, I came across a WWII Tom Hanks movie "Every Time We Say Goodbye"....in which he plays a pilot recovering from injuries in Israel.
He meets a Jewish girl and yadayadayada....falls for the girl. Her family are Spaniards Jews and Ladino is spoken amongst them...very easy to follow if you know/speak/understand Spanish.
This topic reminded me of this movie...who knew.

I am fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese and the first clip with the song, I understood maybe 3 words

The old lady speaking Ladino, I understood maybe 98% of everything the said

The Papiamento clip, I understood maybe 60% of all they said.

It came out way before Tom Hanks hit it big with Forrest Gump, Castaway, etc, etc.
