A little, not that much due to the way she sangs -which is beautiful btw- I have the same problem with Shakira and Rihana, when they sang words get distorted.

Aztecgoddess is right, it is understandable but the way of singings makes it more difficult, here it is a woman speaking that language:

Wow Catbelle, that was much more easy to follow. I think I understood the whole story, save some words that I wasn't able to recognize. But, in the entire context of the story, it dint matter much.

Saludos

Yeah I can understand some of it, too. Ladino sounds a bit like Portuguese, I think. My ancestor' language (Galician) sounds very similar to Spanish and I can understand some of it, but I can't speak it

Same here, followed the majority of it, but a few words here and there threw me off. But overall understood quite a bit.

I couldnt understand much of the singing video but I could understand the old lady well. I thought Ladino was way different than Spanish buts its surprisingly similar.

Ladino es not different at all..Ladino is old Spanish. Anybody that knows Spanish literature, more so the literature of the Golden Century will understand it perfectly.

Morena me llaman pero yo blanca naci

Sephardics are Spanish.
