Meaning?? Ease of transportation?? Public transportation?? I would say you can fly very cheaply from the UK (meaning London) everywhere.
Public transportation is first class in the UK then Canada and Australia and USA last.
Personal transportation?? USA is car/personal boat/personal plane heaven.

Well that's just it; so many people in the USA drive! If you live in a small city (200,000 or less) you may be hard pressed finding work without a car. Oh, and I guess if people don't want to fly from NY to LA they could always take the 4 day long journey on the Amtrak!

I agree except the UK shouldnt be the most politically stable. Earlier this year the country almost split up. No one seriously wants to secede from Australia or the US. Scottish secession is as much of an issue to the UK as Quebec independence is to Canada.

Big country, cities far apart, cities themselves are very sprawled out, huge car culture, cheap gas.... probably wouldn't rush to build a high speed rail just so we can be like other countries (that are nothing like us).

Each country have very slightly, or very similar politics - the right wing in the UK for example, would be considered the left wing in the US... Although on the whole the politics are fairly similar in the sense of freedom of speech, democracy and capitalism, there is still slight cultural differences in the way the countries are run. For example, Britain is slightly left wing with it's "allowing the world and it's dog in to the country" policies, it's ridiculously generous benefits system, and it's NHS. This compared to the USA and Australia's slightly more right wing policies and ideas such as a massive emphasis on individualism, health insurance, and proper immigration controls - Aussie and US policies are more what I adhere to personally (my views on the NHS is a little more confusing and can't be bothered to explain it as it's to long winded )...
