On one hand ISIS is beheading, burning people alive , enslaving and killing in the name of God and on the other hand KKK burned people alive, backed slavery ,beheaded people or terrorized them by burning the cross of Christ the Merciful.
Still both Islam and Christianity claim to be religion of tolerance. So question: How can people who claim being devoted to God, do such things?

PS: This is not about the old argument of " Africans sold their own people". It is about those Christians and Muslims who claim to be the role models of the world.

"Self-styled believers", of course, are not influenced in any way by the fundamental principles of the religion they have "self-styled" after. So what that vestigial religion was, has no relevance to a comparative discussion.

Exactly. That's why people who have murdered doctors who have performed abortions just come across as crazy.

They do no see themselves as self-styled. This is my perception. They boast being true Christians or true Muslims.
During slavery, a catholic Bishop from Latin America said Black people could be enslaved because they have no soul also KKK folks go to Church every Sunday after bombing Black people's churches.
Today it is almost the same thing with Isis and Al Qaeda. Those folks bomb stores, schools, shopping malls, etc killing innocent civilians in the name of God. They even have the Quran in their pockets when taking those horrible actions.
Whilst we don't see such things happening pretty often with Hinduists, Butddhists, confusianists etc.

Very, very easy. They took one small change in the Quran - add the viceroy of God on earth who has the right to tell them what to do on behalf of God. Here all human passions crept outside. More than one generation, of course.

In general, any religion is dangerous, and not just a religion. Any faith keeps a mindless obedience traditions that can be easily changed for good or harm. What does this belief does not have to be a religion. So it is with faith in democracy, in the name of it, too, was killed quite a lot of people. The belief in the Christian God also collected a lot of victims during campaigns of crusades, the Inquisition, the ancient human sacrifice.

Any belief is dangerous if you follow it blindly, not including your mind.
