What World city, which has a name beginning with the letter "M," is the greatest?
Please take into consideration: uniqueness of culture (food, creative arts, architecture, etc.), aesthetic beauty (architectural & natural), historical significance, buzz/pulse (that feeling of "life" you get when you know you're somewhere special), nightlife, modern relevance (not a Disney-like parody of its former self) and name recognition.
Manila, Montevideo, Mecca, Macau, Manchester, Malaga, Minsk, Memphis, Minneapolis, Milwaukee and Monterrey are more prominent/famous worldwide than Male.

As well as equally or more prominent national capitals, such Minsk, Manama, Muscat, Moroni, Malabo, Maseru, Monrovia, Maputo, Mogadishu, Mbabane, Managua, and Mata Utu.
And such august state capitals as Montgomery, Madison and Montpelier.
And Madras should not be disqualified simply because it is now spelled with a C.
But speaking seriously, Milan and Munich are the only cities in this list which I know, and both are awesome, it's difficult to choose one of them as the best, even because both are quite similar.
As well as equally or more prominent national capitals, such Minsk, Manama, Muscat, Moroni, Malabo, Maseru, Monrovia, Maputo, Mogadishu, Mbabane, Managua, and Mata Utu.
I don't think most people ever heard of Moroni, Mbabane, Maseru and Mata Utu.
I voted for Marrakech, because it seems such an unique place and in its own way both fascinating and beautiful, i was unsure between it, Milan, Melbourne, Madrid and Montreal, but i voted for it because honestly those places are all going to get plenty of votes
the world's hottest women, non-stop nightlife, best coffee in the world, best drugs on the planet (if you're into it), amazing friendly people, beautiful progressive city
some of those first world cities u mention don't hold a candle to medellin in terms of colorful culture, streetlife, nightlife, culture, fun locals etc.
