But how many of y'all are looking at wikipedia country list?
If we were, someone of us would have got all of them, i've got a relatively high number mostly because i am and have always been interested in geography. I also make some of those quizzes once in a while as a pastime, so that definitely helps
Paull. So far your only posts in this thread have been calling people out for "getting too many right." The whole point of the thread is to see how many countries (and now capitals) people can guess correctly. This is a travel/ geography related forum with many geography inclined posters, obviously some people are going to do very well.
Anyway, I got 134 out of 197 capitols. Africa killed me. Who h&ll can remember Ouagadougou
Ha, I just realized I had google earth open. I was skoping out hikes for this weekend. If I were going to cheat, I'd go straight to regular google maps
I didn't cheat at all. Just at my first attempt I didnt know how some capitals were spelled in English - the likes of Algiers, Phnom Penh, Naypyidaw and even Accra (I tended to spell it Akkra). Also I thought ghat the capital of Palau is Coror and Nauru has no capital at all. So after my second attempt (I scored 187) I loooked it up but not in google or wikipedia, but just at the correct answers which were below my results. Next attempt for capitals was perfect.
First attempt (no cheating) 131/197
Wasted a bunch of time trying to remember Qatar
