To the people that live outside of the United States, how attractive is San Francisco Bay Area to you? As a place that you could visit on a trip or possibly move to one day in the future. How important is San Francisco to you where you live, how often do you hear about it? Is it a super popular place in your city/country/area of the world?

Are there any American cities that you like more than it? Less than it?

Sure I would visit the city of San Francisco, but absolutely no interest in moving into the area.

You know after reading your question I got a really strange feeling. I mean a good one When I was a kid, one day I woke up and saw a music video of Stereophonics song "Have a nice day". The song starts with these words: "San Francisco Bay, past pier thirty nine..". There are actually two music videos of the song and in one of them, at the beginning of the song, you can see the band´s leader Kelly Jones on a boat with a bunch of pretty girls heading for The Golden Gate Bridge :-) So to answer your question when you say "San Francisco", to me it is a city number one in the USA and I wish I could be there right now!

Seems to be quite interesting.

As a place that you could visit on a trip or possibly move to one day in the future.

Yeah, I'd definitely visit and would probably move there upon receiving an offer. Wouldn't go out of my way to actually land a job there.

How important is San Francisco to you where you live, how often do you hear about it?

Not important at all, you hear about it occasionally.

Is it a super popular place in your city/country/area of the world?

It's popular amongst those, who visit the US. The US by itself isn't a popular tourist destination, though, since it's quite expensive to get there.

You put San Francisco below Seattle?

Yeah SF is loved I would love to go to SF and see the golden gate bridge and wake up in the morning overlooking the bay.

Go on those old trams and take pictures of the hilly streets.

Seattle - I just like the vibe it seems to have. Same with SF.

I didn't vote because the choices didn't fit my answer, which is

I love it, BUT people, at least on the west coast of Canada, do know about it.

Napa and Sonoma are very beautiful, for example.

I don't think it's a place that I couldn't die without knowing it. It would be wonderful, however, if I could find some job there - since I work with software development. But it's unlikely... I'm too old and not so intelligent.
