The uk. I think you should have made that into it's own category. I was looking for it.
Yeah, I admitted that in post #3 and couldn't figure out how to amend the poll. The UK is significantly more similar to the US than the rest of western Europe.
Yes I think the shared language is a big part of feeling a cultural bond. For me the only thing that compares to the language is geography which is why I made Canada one of my choices as several others have apparently done.
According to the results thus far, no one else feels a growing bond with Latin America? As I grow older I am finding that Latin Americans are becoming a bigger part of my social and work circles.
Yes There is a growing bond with Latin America, but IMO the cultural ties with the other Anglo nations will always be stronger because of culture.
Generally, Western Europe. Canada and Australia would be in close competition. Specifically, Scotland as a country would come in first. My reddish-blond hair marks me as a member of the Scots-Irish clan! LOL

Canada, because I'm most familiar with it. They're peaceful neighbors keeping the drama on the DL which is truly domething to be appreciated since the US and Canada are both very large countires. I'm glad the Brits settled Canada before the Russians did.
I'm fascinated by Japanese and Southeast Asian culture and definitely have that part of the world on the bucket list.
I gravitate towards Southern Europe rather than other parts of the continent. Warmer culture, better food, better weather, and overall just more intriguing to me than the UK or Northern Europe. The EU/Euro affiliation with these countries (PIGS - Portugal, Italy, Greece, & Spain) has become a fiasco, but they understand the pleasures of life nonetheless.

In retrospect I should have broken out Western Europe into (1) continental: France, Germany, Belgium, etc. and (2) the British Isles. My suspicion is that most of the Western European votes will be for the British Isles.
My suspicion is that if either UK or British Isles were listed separate from western Europe it would have gotten more votes than has western Europe the way the poll is configured.
