Hard to make a choice for Italy, so I'll stick to places I have actually been to:

#1 Florence as seen from the Michelangelo hill

#2 Naples as seen from the Vomero hill

#3 northern, mountainous section of Garda Lake

Peterhof looks nothing short of spectacular. REALLY wanna pay it a visit.
Crimea seems like a really refreshing place. I had no idea. It's in Ukraine imo, though.

My favorite places in Taiwan...honestly I just can't think of any, I'm just too cynical, but I guess I can think of several prettier places.

Cilan Forest(I've been there but I remember being super grumpy because I was completely worn out by the hiking.)

Penghu(also known as Pescadores. I love that name, super cool! Been there when I was like 3 or something so I barely recall anything.)

Wuling Farm(Can't remember if I've ever been there. Known as the No.1 spot of hanami in Taiwan...)

It's so hard to choose just 3. (All photos by me.)

Joshua Tree National Park:

The Sierra Nevada (in particular, Sonora Pass):

And, of course...

Lake Garda is awesome, the southern section is flat and looks like a small Mediterranean sea, while the northern section is mountainous and is in fact an alpine lake!
Amazing

It's indeed hard to pick only 3 places in Italy, i've also chosen places i had been to but i still had a difficult time choosing which place was better, for example Piazza Amedeo in Napoli and Positano just missed the cut. Garda Lake seems amazing, i wish i had visited it, i will try to go there net time i head up north.

Yeah definitely, especially for a country of this size. Now if only our government and people care enough to preserve them better.
