Then what else do you want? Convenience stores? They have them in all countries, open 24/7. Same with McDonalds etc.

Asian countries are usually the best though. Everything is open 24/7. Even the hairdresser.
I'm not talking about bars and nightclubs, I'm talking retail shopping hours. It makes no sense it close down everything on Sunday, it's archaic. I could understand if most Europeans were deeply religious but they're not. The whole 'day of rest' thing is nonsense. If you want to rest, rest, if people want to shop, or work more, let them! Stay out of people's business!

I'm not aware of many places with 24/7 nightclubs. Most may open until 6am, and then open in the evening. Unless they also function as a bar/restaurant too or something.

Retail shopping hours are pretty much the same on every continent. If you're in a small town, they will close shop around 5-6pm and have closed on Sundays. If you're in a bigger city, they might be open until 8-10pm. If you're in the middle of Time Square or Piccadilly Circus or some famous street in Shanghai, then they might be open to 2am.

I don't understand what you're saying.

Which part don't you understand?

Er what? You have been to Times Square (or Fifth Avenue) or Piccadilly haven't you (mostly say Oxford Circus/Oxford St/Regent St)? Most shops there close 10pm the latest. We're talking retail here, not restaurants, cafes, pubs, cubs as well as things like chemists/drugstores. There are the odd things like 24 hour bookshops, or some department stores, but it's not the norm in most places. In fact cities like Singapore (e.g. Mustafa centre) or Seoul have more of that type of thing that NYC/London.

You just complained about Europe not having their retails stores open as late as in the US. And I said that there was no difference. The difference is in the size/importance of the city.

Yes, retail stores at Times Square are open until 2-3am every day of the week.

I've been to Times Square at 2-3am and that isn't the case.
