Yep we are overpopulated as far as I'm concerned.

UAE, Kuwait and Qatar are better than the Us. You have every right to disagree ofc. Usa is only about money and have a poor track record on human rights, so it isn't much different in that sense.

What does "Corruption PERCEPTION" mean?

I can assure you that gross and debilitating corruption is alive and well in Equatorial Guinea, Kazakhstan, and Gabon.

Ukraine should be on the list. Corruption is through the roof, poverty is off the chain, and the government is worrying about Russia instead of pulling its people out of the hole. Truly sad all the way around!

GDP (PPP) per capita in Ukraine is not even $9000.

Corruption cannot be objectively measured because it is well hidden from view. That only measurement is to ask people if they "perceive" corruption, and then measure the number of people who say Yes. That is the measurement of "corruption perception", which is pretty apparent, given the choice of terms.

Now, in terms of the desirability of living in a country, why would you care now corrupt it is, or seems? How does that influence your own life? As an astute and well educated westerner with plenty of money, you should welcome corruption, which will strongly work in your favor in your efforts to get ahead, and climb above all the bottom feeders who do not enjoy your privilege to benefit from coruption.

Corruption is defined as "the abuse of power, secret dealings and bribery". From the standpoint of the ordinary citizen, what's wrong with that? There is an old Chinese proverb that "The best form of government is the most corrupt -- they come and collect the taxes, then leave us alone for the rest of the year."
