You mean not as embarrassing as intentional burping and farting?

I was in a Amsterdam staying as a Muslim operated hostel. While sitting at table in the dining area, My friend wiped her nose before eating. One of the Muslim employees, stated screaming at her. Saying "she wasn't allowed to do that here" .. Im sure if I farted or burp it would of been acceptable, just not for females.

Slurping is not considered polite in all Asian cultures. In Thailand and in parts of China it is accepted to slurp but not really encouraged.
India, Turkey and some Middle Eastern countries and even in parts of China it is considered good manners to burp after a meal. It’s a sign of appreciation and satiety
I had heard that farting was NOT rude in certain cultures but I wasn’t really sure if it was true or not so I did a little research.
Turns out farting after a meal is an expression of thanks and appreciation to the Inuit people of Canada.
An Indian tribe in South America called the Yanomami fart as a greeting, and in China you can actually get a job as a professional fart-smeller!

BTW: you can't escape passing wind, even after you're dead! Up to three hours after the body dies, gasses continue to escape from both ends of the digestive tract, resulting in burping or farting noises.

No, I was asking whether such behavior isn't as embarassing compared to in North America(and any other English-speaking nations) or some asian countries that expect strict manners.

In my culture, even talking about these things is embarassing. Some words for naming these attitudes are considered profanities.
