Vienna simply because it's the closest to home alongside Zurich and being as bland, soulless and clean as Zurich is. Zurich and large parts of Switzerland are too orderly for my liking, maybe to the point where they become rather sterile places.
The list looks too Australian-Canadian centric however and i don't understand what makes these cities so much more livable rather than their American and European counterparts
Vienna is the most perfect city which I know. I never travelled to Vancouver, Calgary or Sydney, but according to what I read about them, they should be also a good choice.

Most of these places are fairly sterile and boring. The author obviously favors Anglosphere, Germanic and Nordic places, and especially cities known for being clean and neat.
I would pick Toronto or Vienna. I don't particularly like Toronto, but you can make a good living, and there's lots of "stuff". Vienna is much prettier and I like it more, but Austrians can be difficult.
Of the remaining cities, I don't really like any. I guess I could live in Zurich, even though the Swiss are even more difficult than the Austrians, and the city is super-sterile. At least salaries are high (though costs are crazy).

Well, Italians sure find AUS livable as they are the fourth largest ethnic group in here.
I have never had a chance to visit Australia, so do not have an opinion on those cities. Otherwise I would say Toronto might be the most interesting to me of the bunch. The issue is that I have already lived there and what is the point in returning to a city you have already experienced? (Unless it is an off the charts type of place)
So I guess I would settle on Zurich, even though Toronto I find to be the better city overall. Otherwise, the remaining cities are worth a visit, but do not interest me in the least when it comes to a place to actually live.
I have visited all except Calgary and Auckland. Many of them are boring, especially Helsinki and Vienna.
Sydney has the mildest weather of the lot and some of them are brutally cold; I have no desire to live in those cities.
I would rather live in San Diego, London or heck, even NYC than these cities on the list.
