If I knew German, Berlin would be a good choice, as would Vienna. But Europe seems to be on the decline.
I've always been fascinated with Australia and New York. If LA didn't have such bad traffic, or at least had an extensive subway, I would probably pick there.
one of my concerns as well. I have traveled to 65 different countries in my life and had a few favorites but they have faded a bit, like Greece, Portugal, Spain, southern France, but they all seem to be in decline.

I've just moved to England, i'm only here as part of a 'holding pattern', it's really not my kind of place. Everything is so small and compact, no one drives and you have to take the rip off bus everywhere.
I liked the freedom of driving at home.

I love where I live now. If it had better weather, then I would probably never want to leave. As it is, I'll likely stay for the coming years, but one day I'll go live somewhere that has similar beauty, and great weather!
