Well yeah I guess the price aren't that preposterous outside of Norway. I'll have a firsthand experience next month though.
Unfortunately for me winters are not manageable. I don't even know how I managed the winter in the Netherlands. The days were so short and it was so cold.
Are you only going to Stockholm, or are you still planning to visit Helsinki too?
only one thing would make me want to leave ireland , the absolutely awful climate , it rains two out of every three days in the year and rained for six months from october of last year to april for the most part
were i to move to another country , i would choose either spain or the usa as while the uk is the best fit for me , the weather there is still only average
As you can see from my post (page 1) from almost 1 year ago my preference has changed quite a lot.
That time i said i would live in Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Thailand, New Zealand and could live in Austria, Croatia, Greece and Singapore.
Having thought more about crime (Latin America), islamization (Europe), military regime (Thailand), money-driven culture (Singapore) and geographic isolation (New Zealand) made me change my mind.
From the USA and have lived in both Europe and Latin America. My preference is here. I would live anywhere temporarily, that is not a war zone or culturally very restrictive (most Muslim nations).
As a Filipino, I have also lived in Singapore and still spent most of my time in other countries (work assignment). Now currently live in the US.
Obviously, I'm not happy living in my own country that's why I don't live there. But it is now work-in-progress.
I think I can settle long term in the US if given an opportunity (a green card). If not, I would probably apply resident visa in Australia. I'm still in my 30's so there's still more time to explore. My job is also in demand in EU, I almost got a job in Austria back in 2014. Singapore is now a no, no!
