Gay civil unions? Gay marriage has been legalized by court half a year. Debt growth in the US has slowed as the economy recovered, it's sustainable IMO especially since interest rates are low. Russia also depends on what Putin does, but I'd guess a Sanders presidency would just show less interest in eastern Europe and Russia in general.
I didn't know, my mistake then! I think the USA should focus more on the Pacific side and let us Europeans take care of our own matters. Aside from that, Clinton really isn't to my liking, i don't know why but she didn't grow on me in the last couple months. She seems like a step down from Obama being even more centrist than him or his husband ever were.

To be frank, Europeans have been terrible at taking care of your own matters the last few hundred years. Maybe you have gotten better but I actually seriously doubt it. Still, I think we should pull all of our troops and support out of Europe and NATO and let you guys work/fight it out. In the long run, our Pacific neighbors are of greater interest for the future.
Can't deny the Pacific is and will be a contested and 'lively' area of the world. Not sure of the logic for US to leave Europe though. To be bring in an agricultural motif it 'leaves the barn open' my correspondents. Like it or not arguably the US and Europe are tied to the mast with each other.

It looks like it's Europe that's pulling away from the USA instead of vice-versa... The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, the UK putting on a diplomatic showstopper for the Chinese premier, and all the diplomatic maneuvers towards Moscow from Paris and Berlin.
Whatever the general public in these countries think, it's coming across as if that the USA is being regarded more and more as politically toxic and a liability among the ranking members of the diplomatic community.
Professional internet troll is winning the Republican primary... fitting culmination of the last decade.
