It's complicated. Some people will vote one way provincially and one way federally, depending on the issues, leader etc of the day.
For example in my province of B.C. The two main parties are the B.C. Liberals ( who as of 1987 are no longer affiliated or part of the Federal Liberal Party headed by Trudeau, in fact, they act more like Conservatives, and most see them as that ) and the NDP.
Given that realistically it's going to be one or the other party in power for B.C., people who vote Liberal Federally, can and do vote NDP provincially.
An example of that is in the riding of Vancouver Centre. Provincial MLA is NDP, Federal MP is a Federal Liberal. I should note here that the ridings are not exactly the same size, but the NDP riding I mention is within the boundaries of the federal one.
As for the Greens, the MP in office is from B.C. and overall is well respected. In the last election, many saw her as a sane voice amongst the nonsense.
