in the US if you live up north you can go into Canada, but its expensive, takes planning and there is not a lot of ways to get there other than drive or fly.
Going to Toronto or Montreal is not that expensive if you live on the east coast of the U.S.
In fact, it is usually much less expensive than going to New York City and visiting all the sites there.
I would choose Switzerland mainly due to its location. Lausanne( my favorite city) is a gateway to some of the most beautiful sceneries in Europe. Plus easy access to major cities.
a civilized population in a multilingual, multicultural nation living side by side for centuries.
Usa is too unequal and too much social injustice.
Australia is multicultural but it lacks sophistication and class. (it's like texas on an content/island)
If you're sick of Switzerland, take a day trip into Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, Italy, France..... or go for a weekend anywhere in Europe.
If you're sick of Australia and the USA and their sameness.... good luck!!!
the bases of Swiss culture is (Latin/Germanic), the bases of USA/Australia (anglo).... I prefer the Swiss culture.
