Laterza Ravine is part of a system of ravine that spans the whole Southwestern Apulia and the Southeastern Basilicata. The Laterza Ravine is the largest of these ones being 200 meters deep and 12 kms long being the second largest ravine or canyon in the whole of Europe.

These places are also known for having several cave dwellings and churches dating to the middle ages and which got used until the early 20th century. Houses were built directly in the rocks. I will show a pic tomorrow evening

Lovely scenery, it's really caught my eye. Their location is probably the only reason why these mountains aren't more well known i guess.

True. I think it adds a lot of mystery...knowing there are still parts of the world that are remote, but breathtaking. The last place you posted looks beautiful.

värmland is underrated imo. it's like a miniature version of sweden. in the south, it borders lake vänern, with flat landscapes and a warm temperate climate typical of southern sweden. in the center it has an undulating landscape, with wooded hills, deep forests dotted with lakes and many typical red painted wood houses. this zone has a humid continental climate with snowy winters and mild summers. in the north, it becomes more and more wild, with fore-fells around 600-700m and a subarctic climate, having a typical norrlandish-feel. the picture is from the central part.

There are 322 licensed wineries in British Columbia, the majority located in the Okanagan Valley. A huge area that makes some amazing wines of high quality.

The world doesn't know much about Canadian wines since export is limited since domestic consumption takes the majority of it.
