There are few cities in the World that "raises at cult of feeling" like that for its beauty romantica .
Cities that for its beauty incite the emotional or even spiritual love
Which of these 2 cities has aroused more this phenomenon in you. if you are he has lucky of to have visited these 2 cities ?

Granada in Spring with their enervating scent of flowers and water circulate in Alhambra with Sierra Nevada
in the background and in front the white hill of the Albaicin where President Clinton says he never saw more
wonderful sunsets that from there.
No wonder that in Granada the university is full of students from all over Europe that they remember all their life you their stay en Granada and their sentimental friends walking Granada,-

A city where when you hear a guitar seems that this instrument was born to be heard there.

Florence so full of beauty that the famous writer Stendhal he fainted saturated for the wonderful art that today is named as disease of Stendhal.

Of Florence arguably many things wonderful I can speak much more in his honor but I hope that some italian can sing that wonderful city in this forum much better that can do I..

Although Florence is a wonderful city for reasons too numerous to count, I somehow responded to the lures of Granada more. Strictly subjective I guess. All mostly because of the Alhambra, a fascinating and evocative place.
By the way, unless the flowers are dying, and the water polluted, they are not ENERVATING. Intoxicating? Exhilarating? Enticing?

ABQ Sunsecker.-
Vale OK,-also exciting ,sensitizer etc etc etce ja ja.-

Many people do not Know that when the catholic kings they conquered Granada and they saw the wonderful Alhambra were conscious because you might think that the victors had less culture important that muslims and they ordered all religious orders that they built churches and Palaces with the bests architects of Spain in Granada.
And the emperor Carlos V grandson of the the Catholic Kings for the same reason ordered do a Palace on the middle of the Alhambra that is the best renaissance building for many art experts of this epoque where in every spring I hear unforgettable concerts in your circular yard .
In Granada for this reason there is an incredible baroque architecture in all City.

I ll talk only of 2 amazing churches.
The Charterhouse where there is things as that for example that each door is mahogany holy stick and venetian glass in dedicated to handmade all their life of a carthusian,

And the Basilica of Saint Juan of God perhaps the poorest Saint of the History of the Church that has the richest Church that I Know.

The walls are covered with gold leaf and when enter the church there and the spotlights illuminate
the walls leave you dazzled and amazed as I never saw in any other place

This is subjective i guess but i think both are brilliant cities known especially for their Renaissance and Middle Age architecure. I think that Florence holds more diversity as it didn't stop being one of the main cultural hub in the Middle Age but was one until the middle of the 19th century when several Germans, Britains, ecc. all took the Grand Tour which passed through Florence

Improb ,-

Sorry I disagree about which city has more variety .
I think Florence is the sumun of the transition from the middle Ages to the renaissance and was the art factory
where the greatest geniuses have come out of this european artistic era.
Granada is the maximun of islamic art that is put together, with the baroque and Renaissance
And the musulman art this has nothing to do with European tradition.

Ariete.-
I would like to read a filandesa view and you opinion about these 2 cities.

A filandesa view.
Is the best kind of view there is.

You gotta give props to the old man, though, his English is very good for a Spaniard of his age.

I don't think so, but the ministry of tourism of our country must be pretty happy with him. I'll be surprised if he doesn't have a special mention on their website already, or a portrait hanging on the wall of their offices with a plaque that reads "Unofficial employee of the month".
