Well, there are lot of cities that really wish to visit someday, so if you mean a city that I always had the desire to visit the list is big:

Europe: Paris, Lisbon, Madrid, Rome, Venice, Cortina D'Ampezzo, Saltzburg, Austrian and Swises Alps, Budapest, Istambul, Chamonix, Monaco, Madeira Island, etc

America: NYC, Chicago, Quebec, Banff, Orlando, Mexico, Cancun, Playa del Carmen, St. Marteen, St. Barth, Panama, Cartagena, Quito, Santiago, Uyuni Salar, Bariloche, etc

Oceania: Brisbane/Gold Coast, Sidney, Melbourne, French Poliynesia, etc

Africa: Cape Town, Mauritius, Reunion, etc

My desired destinations of the cities/towns has been changed quite a lot since the past years,
anyways here's all the list that I used to have interested in before and current dreams for tourism or live.

America: Asheville, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Honolulu, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, Montreal, New York City, Orlando, Portland, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Monica, Seattle, Toronto, Vancouver etc.
Europe: Amsterdam, Athens, Barcelona, Bremen, Cagliari, Cologne, Copenhagen, Dublin, Firenze, Frosinone, Granada, Gothenburg, Hamburg, Ibiza, Lisbon, London, Madrid, Munich, Oslo, Palermo, Paris, Reykjavik, Roma, Stockholm, Taormina, Torino, Tromso, Venezia etc.
Asia: Fukuoka, Jeju, Kyoto, Nagoya, Naha, Niihama, Osaka, Sapporo, Seoul, Tokyo etc.
South America: Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Santiago, etc.
Oceania: Melbourne, Sydney etc.

As someone who grew up watching anime, I was always fascinated by the hyper-futuristic image of Tokyo.

I agree.

I sometimes look at satellite imagery for global cities across the planet on their light pollution index.

You can easily see all of Tokyo's nodes. Those high density and condensed circular marks in the urbanization. Such a monstrous city, such an impressive specimen of a metropolis.

Los Angeles is the city I aspired to live in and experience when I was younger.

The city didn't quite turn out as expected, unfortunately.
