Mario Draghi is the president of the European Central Bank. The Polish Tusk is in charge of the European Council, the Luxembourgish Juncker is in charge of the Commission and the German Schulz of the European Parliament. Draghi is probably the most influential figure of the four though.

An honorary mention should go to IMF president Christine Lagarde as well

Please allow me to introduce myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
I've been around for a long, long year
Stole many a man's soul and faith

???

I'm running out of guesses here. Ok, maybe it's an economist, because they influence the banks, national and international policy, and more... They come from many different perspectives, however, and their work draws controversy and debate. Still, everything they say is analyzed and leads to some action. Some big ones today include Paul Krugman, Larry Summers, Thomas Piketty, Joseph Stiglitz, Kenneth Rogoff, Robert Shiller. Could be Paul Krugman.

I wouldn't say it's a lie, we just have different adjectives for them; strange, weird, crazy, loner etc.
