Would like to see this go better than expected for Brazil.... but the expense hardly makes it seem worth it. The Olympics needs to scale back after this, so that they aren't bankrupting host countries.
Oh yeah? I find I am hearing about them quite a bit. Maybe it's because the radio and TV I tend to watch the most are the official broadcasters.

I have been hearing something of the news or reading something in the paper about the Olympic every day in Toronto over the last month. In Canada most of the events will be on CBC.

NBC is the official broadcasting network in the US. It will delay the opening ceremony anywhere from 1 to 4 hours depending on location, just so they can get it into primetime. Of course some idiots at NBC will decide what we should see, they call it "curating".

Looking forward to the Olympics, but sadly I am stuck with NBC, the most biased and ridiculous network covering such events. Far to much advertising and forgettable interviews of athletes such as "close up and personal". I love all sports, but the dimwits at NBC have always spoiled my viewing pleasure.

Watching on CBC. I've just watched 2.5 hours of the opening ceremony (1.5 hr still to go) and am enjoying every minute of it.
