Canada is the closest, they sound almost the same when speaking to them , they are next door to the US, people are allowed to own firearms.

you almost cant tell a Canadian from an American unless they tell you

I think Canada is the obvious answer.

None of those really in my opinion. in terms of bad things, the race problems , the gun culture, the high crime rates (maybe the bahamas might be in there) in cetain urban areas in the states is very different than most of those countries . The UK doesnt have anything like the gun culture in the US but seems to be heading down the same open borders/multiculturalist/increasingly unsafe road the US has been following since the 1960's/1970's and the UK has the same type of hideous and shallow pop/media culture we see coming out of manhattan/hollywood

Tons of great things about the US like our tech entrepreneurship and start up culture and still a very inventive culture and a growing urban/downtown renaissance in many cities, amazing geography and topography in america as well and still a very strong economy in the US

Poll would have been more fun if you excluded English speaking countries.

Canada is very similar to the northern United States. Different currency, metric system and things like that. But overall, not much different.

Most Americans don't even notice or care that certain pop stars they listen to are Canadian, for example. It's like yeah sure, okay.

I think the Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden should be in the poll instead of South Africa, Singapore and China.

Canada, I don't see how anyone could argue otherwise other than to be contrary.

The poll should have said Francophone Canada.

That would be more interesting.
