The only thing I don't like is how NBC focuses on few sports, like swimming. Enough of Michael Phelps and enough of showing and interviewing USA athletes even when they lose.

Other than that, it's awesome we win and we should not apologize for it.

All these medals, yet you have so many disgusting fat people. It's impressive actually.

How can you have so many fat people, when your sporting facilities, and time playing sports, is so great?

Why are fat people disgusting? What a dick.

Are you that dense.

Poor diet, car dependent culture, etc. etc. do the research.

Because like with everything, the US goes big. Some positive, some negative....

Well goody goody gumdrops. Football will never be in the olympics. Beats me why they added basketball.

It is incredible to see a country (USA) with a such sport culture being so bad at the Olympic Games. (same for China). How bad they are !

USA = 318 million people (40 medals with 16 gold medals)
UK+Germany+France+Italy = 268 million people (54 medals with 18 gold medals)

Europ is and always will be the best !
Please sit down, it isn't as simple as that.

It all comes down to discipline. There are those who are disciplined vs those that aren't. This goes for any country.

No, you should not apologize for it. May the best athletes win, regardless what country they come from.

NBC, is a sorry excuse for a TV station covering an international sports event. Thank heaven they have not come back with the "up close and personal BS".

Dwelling on certain sports and american athletes I have come to expect from NBC. Michael Phelps has been very very successful. Congratulations, but if I see any more repeats of his swimming I am flying to Rio and spit in the pool.

I have most likely about it.

As you said."I mean, I know we're magnificent and everything except gold after gold after gold, it gets tiring sooner or later. Truly, different nations need to venture up, we're winning wrestling, swimming, volleyball, soccer(!!!), vaulting, and truly everything else. I'm just in stunningness at how astounding we are, there's nothing more to it."

Definitely. These athletes all worked really hard, basically dedicated their whole life, to get there, why would anyone need to apologise because some people from other countries are getting all butthurt and bitter?

That said, belittling other countries by medal counts and excessive national pride are still very unattractive. The athletes won, not you, the only thing you have contributed to the 2016 Rio Olympics is boosting the channel rating by 0.00000000001. (not referring to you specifically, just generally speaking)
