This would never happen but if it was decided that every Olympics would be at the same place the only logical city is Athens. The costs for Athens 2004 were astronomical as a result of the world changing post 9/11, some of the venues have been allowed to rot but it wouldn't take much to get them up to scratch, all the infrastructure is already in place ( new roads, metro etc).
Don't see the point in countries killing themselves to host it now. It's a burden
I think its gotten too expensive for its own good, maybe all the countries participating should foot the bill, pay as a percentage of their gdp.as far as the games themselves it full of events that few people really care about-fencing, table tennis, rowing??? I still watch it, its a pleasant time killer.
